Who designs these things?! That’s an advisory cycle lane, advising cyclists to cycle the wrong way down a one way street. Seeing as cars are only advised not to drive in this lane, but legally have the right to, are cyclists advised to go ahead and crash into the car? I have no idea who’d be in the right/wrong here.
If that wasn’t bad enough this lane is directly in the door zone on a busy street for parking…
While this post may lack the deflated sarcasm of some others, something has to be done to highlight that this quick fix approach to cycle lanes doesn’t work. Maybe it’ll take some accidents there to validate this thoughtlessness.
